The South Carolina National Heritage Corridor provides quality training sessions to help partners market and fund tourism destinations, develop and present better interpretive programs, develop professional customer service skills and learn the ins and outs of public relations. Additional training opportunities are available for partners to become Certified Interpretive Hosts, Certified Interpretive Guides and also official Heritage Corridor tour guides. 2010 Training Sessions
March 30, 2010 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. Greenwood Regional Tourism and Visitors Bureau, Federal Building, 120 Main Street, Greenwood, SC 29648 This training session is designed for staff and volunteers at tourism related sites who have public contact but don't usually deliver interpretive programs. Receptionists, maintenance workers, campground hosts, greeters and sales clerks are among the individuals who may find the program helpful. The training combines customer service with informal interpretation to help participants improve their responses to guests in general while helping achieve stewardship goals of the organization. ![]()
