DA Tompkins Library & Genealogy Research Center
The Tompkins Library has a tremendous collection of books on the history of Edgefield County as well her people and families. It also has an extensive collection of Edgefield County related microfilm including issues of The Edgefield Advertiser newspaper dating back to 1836, a huge collection of loose papers, and a major collection on other states whose people migrated into and out of Edgefield including: Virginia, NC, GA, AL TX.
