Arthur Rose Museum at Claflin College

Erected in 1898, this is one of the older remaining structure houses on the Claflin University campus. Claflin University, founded in 1869 as Claflin College, is the oldest historically black college in S.C. It was the first college in the state to welcome all students regardless of race or gender.
