Fourteen acres of ever-changing beauty attract visitors to this park, which was the estate of Mr. and Mrs. C. Oliver Iselin. Mrs. Iselin, who died at the age of 102, wished that her gardens would be always preserved for the enjoyment of others. She left her estate to the city. Later the house was removed and a Touch and Scent Trail for the visually impaired was developed.

Camellias bloom in late winter, followed by azaleas, wisteria, dogwood, crepe myrtle, and magnolias. Lilies and roses bloom well into fall. Plaques in Braille, lead visually impaired nature lovers to new discoveries. Concerts and plays are given Monday evenings during the summer.

Open daily; free.
