St. Paul's Episcopal Church is on East Queen Street in Pendleton, and is a contributing building to the Pendleton National Register Historic District. It was built in 1822 and has the original pews. Most of the windows are the original hand-blown glass. n the churchyard are buried many notable people, including Mrs. John C. (Floride) Calhoun, Thomas G. Clemson, and Confederate General Barnard E. Bee, famous for giving General T.J. Jackson his nickname by exclaiming, "There stands Jackson like a stone wall. Rally around the Virginians!" at the first battle of Manassas.
