Pickens
Come enjoy a day of history and fun at the historic Hagood Mill. Experience local music, see demonstrations of 19th-century spinning techniques, wood carving, bee keeping and an old moonshine still. The 1845 gristmill, with it’s 20-foot overshot wooden waterwheel is one of the oldest mills still producing grain products in South Carolina. Rain or Shine.
March's "Spring String Thing" highlights will be the Brown Mountain Boys and Fiddler's Three musical group, Miller Allan Warner, Blacksmith Roger "Griz" Hockwalt and his newly graduated apprentice Jason Faulk. For more information, please call 864.898.5963.

Meet at the SC Botanical Garden’s Red Caboose for an informative walk with naturalist and Clemson professor Dr. David Bradshaw. Wear comfortable shoes and appropriate dress. The Art of Storytelling
Bamberg
Hear renowned storyteller Donald Davis at the Bamberg Civic Center at 7:30 pm on May 9, with a reception following the event. Donald was born in Southern Appalachia in a family of story tellers. It is sure to be a great night! Join Mr. Davis on Saturday the 10th from 10 a.m. until noon at the Bamberg Civic center for a casual Storytelling Workshop.

“Praise House”
Charleston
Featuring Ann Caldwell and the Magnolia Singers, Praise House captures the joy of Gullah in a weekly program of song, stories, and spirituals. Visitors to Charleston will now have the opportunity to experience this history of the human spirit as it was originally rendered in the praise houses of the Lowcountry on Tuesday evenings at 7 and 8 p.m. at the historic Circular Congregational Church located at 150 Meeting Street. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students and are available at the performance. Children under 12 are free. (843) 577-4634

HANDMADE: A CELEBRATION OF THE ELEMENTS OF CRAFT
